Calculated Aesthetics
OASE #105
From the beginning of 1990s, the work of Swiss architect Livio Vacchini was strongly driven by his ambition to make architecture through meticulously defined structural elements. The text argues, on the base of Losone Gymnasium’s floor plan, that sober computer drawings made by his practice were used to represent and reach this objective.
The essay is published in Practices of Drawing, OASE #105 and is available online on Drawing Matter website.
Practices of Drawing is edited by Aslı Çiçek, Bart Decroos, Jantje Engels and Veronique Patteuw.
