A School of Schools: Design as Learning is a multi-platform knowledge-based exhibition that uses, tests, and revises a variety of educational strategies. Curated by Jan Boelen — co-founding artistic director of the research program Atelier Luma — with Vera Sacchetti and Nadine Botha for the 4th Istanbul Design Biennial, organised by IKSV, Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts, it presents the work of over 90 artists and designers from around the world.

In C-mine, A School of Schools is presented in a new form and scenography by Aslı Çiçek. The configurations of displays are adapted into the characteristic architecture of energy building of the former coal mines. The displays made in collaboration with Lukas Wegwerth and used in Istanbul Design Biennial and LUMA Art Foundation are customised by Aslı Çiçek, using the colour code of the graphic communication of the exhibition.

Çiçek's ongoing research 'Notes on Miniature' is also displayed in the exhibition.
