A School of Schools: Design as Learning is a multi-platform knowledge-based exhibition that uses, tests, and revises a variety of educational strategies. Curated by Jan Boelen — co-founding artistic director of the research program Atelier Luma — with Vera Sacchetti and Nadine Botha for the 4th Istanbul Design Biennial, organised by IKSV, Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts, it presents the work of over 90 artists and designers from around the world.

In Luma, A School of Schools is presented in a new form and scenography by Aslı Çiçek. The displays are reconfigured for the sober interiors of the Mecanique Building. The displays made in collaboration with Lukas Wegwerth and used in Istanbul Design Biennial create a new narrative in the exhibition space.
