Scenography
A new scenography that supports the presentation of the book CHARACTER is inaugurated on 2 May at BOEKS Gent.
CHARACTER is an artist's book in which a danced alphabet evolves into a type specimen. The book was created as a collaboration between choreographer and dancer Femke Gyselinck, graphic designer Joris Kritis and photographer and filmmaker Robbrecht Desmet. For the presentation in BOEKS the collaboration is further opened to architect Asli Çiçek for the scenography and researcher Emma Meerschaert to help compile a series of books influencing the making of and looking back on Character from very different domains.
