Opening of Alexandria: Past Futures MUCEM

Exhibition architecture in MUCEM, Marseille / FR
After being on display in BOZAR, Brussels Alexandria: Past Futures exhibition travels to Marseille, MUCEM and opens its doors on 08.02.2023 to the visitors. The exhibition design is adapted to an entirely new spatial condition, adapts the as-found scenography of previous exhibitions and completes it with displays used in BOZAR.
About twenty contemporary works of art enhance the theme of the exhibition and, thanks to a carefully designed scenography by Aslı Çiçek, provide an analytical and poetic backdrop to its various parts. In addition, incursions into other periods –Byzantine, Arabic, Modern– enrich the focus of the exhibition and provide a more comprehensive understanding of Alexandria throughout history.
The exhibition will be on display until 08.05.2023 in MUCEM
