Echoes of Dreams

29.08.2025 - 19.04.2026

Maison Hannon invites the public to a unique, sensitive and intellectual exploration of the enchanting world of Belgian Symbolism with its second large-scale temporary exhibition, 'Echoes of Dreams'.

Set in the elegant surroundings of the Brussels Art Nouveau House- Museum, the exhibition offers visitors a journey exploring the richness and complexity of Symbolist art at the turn of the 20th century. Central to the scenography was the reuse and reconfiguration of existing modular display elements designed by Aslı Çiçek. The modular display furniture was carefully reassembled to frame the works with clarity and restraint, maintaining a respectful dialogue with the refined Art Nouveau interiors. Steel structures were combined, extended, and repositioned to create new pedestals for paintings and sculptures, demonstrating how a flexible system can generate distinct spatial solutions. This process also introduces a subtle continuity into the scenography itself, allowing design elements to take on new meanings within a different curatorial context.
