Talk in SALT

On scenography practice, in SALT Beyoğlu, Istanbul / TR

The events organised by the ‘Çerçöp’ initiative of SALT cultural institution, Istanbul, which have transformed the ground floor of Salt Beyoğlu into a production space, will conclude with a talk by Aslı Çiçek.

In her talk, she will discuss the role of exhibition design within architectural practice and address the forms of reuse and material choices that have featured prominently in her work since 2015. Using examples from her projects, ranging from temporary exhibitions to permanent scenography and stage design, she will demonstrate how space and materials can influence curatorial narratives. She'll explain how she frames issues like waste reduction, portability, modularity and the long-term use of materials within the framework of fundamental design responsibility.

The talk will take place at Salt Beyoğlu and is open to all free of charge. The programme will be conducted in Turkish.
