Opening: Soft Power in LUCA

The exhibition 'Soft Power: The Brussels Way of Making the City', which opened first at S AM Basel in October 2024, travels to LUCA Luxembourg Center for Architecture, with the modular displays designed by Aslı Çiçek. The exhibition design, which was first made for the enfilade spaces of S AM, is adapted to the one large gallery of LUCA.
Soft Power traces Belgium's journey to becoming an internationally renowned hotspot for contemporary architecture and urban planning. The show sheds light on the framework conditions that have given rise to a high-quality building culture in Brussels and encouraged a new generation of architects to participate in its urban development.
The exhibition opened its doors to the public on 26 February 2026. Curated by Roxane Legrelle and Andreas Kofler, it is a collaboration between LUCA and the Swiss Architecture Museum (S AM) and the Bouwmeester Maître Architecte (BMA).
